2023 in Review
So, it’s been a Wild yet successful year for me, especially when it comes to my new Pocast called “Amy Ford’s Pocast”, which you can find on my YouTube Channel and Buzzsprout Hosting site. In my Podcast, I talk about Physical Health, Mental Health, Positivity, topics about relationships, and Self-Care. I also have done more Acryllic Painting with Words of Wisdom, posted on my Instagram page at amydivinewoman. I sell my Paintings for anywhere between $10-200 depending on the Size of the Canvas. I also continue to do Yoga at least once a month, yet this month I’ve done it almost four times. <Laughing> I’ve needed it!
My physical health didn’t start out all too well the beginning of this year as I had to quit my Retail Job which I loved because of a torn meniscus in my left knee. It took another 6 months to heal after that. Go figure, now my right knee has Chronic arthritis. I try to stay away from tomatoes which I know inflames the joints. I’ve also had to go through Pre-menopausal changes where either I’m sweating slightly, feel Pelvis pressure and extreme lower back pain. I’d rather get my cycle every month for the rest of my Life than go through womanly changes. I’ve learned that I need more estrogen, Progesterone, and thankfully I’m already on Serotonin to help with emotions. Eeks! m
My Goals for 2024 are to learn Graphic Design in order to design flyers, Pamplets, Posters, and perhaps even design Self-Help Modules/Guidebooks once I get into learning a bit more Life Coaching stuff. It takes a lot of knowledge to know what you want to write in Self-help Workbooks. I want to learn both Graphic Design self-teaching using YouTube Videos (hope I can find good ones) and also perhaps take Courses for Life Coaching through one of my many favorite Podcasters. I’ve learned so much from Jay Shetty, Mel Robbins, Lewis Howes, Gabrielle Bernstein, Ed Mylett, Maria Forleo, and Lisa Bileyu.
This year has taught me a lot about my Worth and that I am worth waaay more than minimum wage in Order to build the Life I desire. There is nothing wrong with knowing your worth and what you bring to the table. I’m on fire, determined, refreshed, and Renewed. I also plan on losing over 80 pounds in the next year. LET’S GET IT!
Two Years of Growing
I seriously can’t believe it’s been almost two years. I have currently started a Podcast called “Amy Ford’s Podcast” and am using a Podcast Network, not sure if they have posted it on Amazon Music and Spotify yet. I also have posted YouTube Videos to my Amy G-money YouTube account. It’s interesting learning the ropes of how to correctly use all the equipment and formatting an SD card with either wav files or mp4 Video files; supposedly both won’t store on it. I am also learning to use the Podcast recorder. I have a variety of topics from Mental health, being an empath, learning good habits including exercising, doing Yoga, meditating, and taking up other hobbies as well as Journalling and Painting. I have topics such as Judgment Detox, developing good listening skills, being a Spiritual Goddess & Self-healer (lots of meditation and Spiritual guidance). In the last two years, I have attempted several Customer Service Jobs and really enjoyed one that I worked at for almost eight months until I have a meniscus tear in my left knee, not fun at all! I don’t think my knee will ever be the same and it’s taken a good six month to heal it partially. I still can’t go up and down the stairs the same. So anyhow, I really enjoyed my last Job. I also had to discontinue my Organizing Business as I knew it wouldn’t ever make money in the two years that I had it unless I had a team of people that worked with me. I could have advertised for other people to work with me, yet I would have had to increase my Prices for clients. Anyhow, lesson learned there.
I am extremely proud of myself for how far I’ve come. Other people may not agree, yet it’s taken listening to a lot of Great Podcasters, Life Coaches, Influences, authors, Licensed therapists; the list goes on, to get where I am today. I am proud of my growth. I am proud of the things I had to Let Go of that no longer served me. I honestly feel bad for people who still believe the old belief Systems. There’s nothing I can do about it to help the people I love to see the truth. Hopefully my voice can and will help others. I love to help and Serve people to see their true potential. I despise people who always look at the negative and worse possible scenarios. I despise people who say, “That won’t work!” to which I say, “F.U. to them”. I am a positive and optimistic human. It’s so sad when others don’t support your growth and outlook on becoming better. Those people want to stay small while still dreaming of making Big money and that’s all they may ever think of.
My mission and intention in Life is to get people to see their potential, talents, worth, etcetera. Oh, and I had almost thought of becoming a Life Coach, I that some of them make upwards of 10K and up a month. Eee! If only.
So I am going to try my hardest to come back and fill in on my Podcast Journey. I can’t wait to share of my Progress. I also will share my new Instagram account to my Podcast. Don’t forget to Love yourself, especially when you know no one else can love you better!!! <3

Mentors that helped during Pandemic
So it’s been a while since I said I would sit down to write about the people who have helped me throughout the whole Pandemic and even some before the Pandemic. It has taken me about a month and a half to about six months to actually FINALLY write about the Authors, encouragers/motivators, therapists, Spiritual healers, Yoga instructors, meditators that have helped me calm my Anxiety and to get myself on track and to focus on my Goals and dreams. I will write about my favorites and hope that they also help encourage you, help you grow, give you guidance on how to really take Care of yourself and learn to Love yourself and others better.
My first and favorite author and therapist is Dr. Sherrie Campbell. She really has helped me heal from trauma and be able to see more clearly how damaging Narcissists can be. Narcissists are toxic because they really only care about themselves and do not listen or take advice from anyone and I do mean anyone. Sherrie has an excellent book on dealing with Toxic people, whether it is from family or even love relationships. Sherrie has helped defined so many psychological terms to help when you have been abused and traumatized by these types of toxic people. She has even helped me recognize some of my own behaviors and help me Grow myself, to really regulate my emotions and reactions to some degree. It takes a tremendous amount of work to get myself back on track to Loving myself. Sherrie truly validates those who have been traumatized from others who have made you believe you were crazy and not worthy or that you may not have anything to offer. We all have something to offer. We just have to dig deep and not allow the negative words of others to get us down. Sherrie has amazing therapy and advice giving on her facebook page. This woman has helped me tremendously the last seven years!
My second favorite author and Spiritual insight motivator is Gabrielle Bernstein. Gabrielle teaches us how to Love ourselves, be a light for others, and to let go of Judgments. She has written a book called, “judgment Detox”, and to me it is the best book in the World and everyone needs it. It really teaches us where we judge ourselves and others waaaay too much! She teaches how to Let Go of negative thoughts and words that we may say to ourselves and about others. It is so tremendous to Let Go, it’s like your body does a complete transformation and lifts so much stress off our bodies. It takes daily practice. Also, it helps to be productive in order to Let go of these Judgments. Gabrielle also teaches about tapping and breathing through our Anxious times and obsessive thoughts in order to Let Go. She has been a Lifesaver and miracle worker to me during the Pandemic.
My third favorite mentor, author and meditation teacher is Jay Shetty. This man is such an example of truly being in the moment, loving ourselves and others. He teaches how to be aware of our behaviors, how to be productive, how to have discipline, how to love others. Jay truly helped me through the first part of the Pandemic with all his YouTube meditations. He has about 20 to 30 and each one was a little bit different. I had done no less than two hours of meditation at the beginning of the Pandemic. The main element in each of his meditations were to be calm, still, and truly present in the meditation. This helps to calm our anxious thoughts. Jay recently came out with a book called, “Think Like a Monk”. I just want to break it down from what said in one of his YouTube Interviews, is that we can have a monkey mind where we run around basically doing nothing, learning nothing or we can learn new things, new Knowledge to help us focus and really develop a well disciplined and Life with Purpose. I truly believe learning Psychology, Painting, a new Language, discipline and knowledge on how to set Goals, and go with the Steps and flow and truly focus has helped me! Jay has helped me do this!
My fourth favorite author, mentor, motivator is Rachel Hollis. This woman is on fire! Rachel is no joke when it comes to using every bit of energy you can find within yourself to Live a Life worth Loving and serving others. She really truly loves herself and loves helping others. She is ENERGY!!! She is not someone to mess with when it comes to being lazy. Every bit of information she has given me is good enough for me from a distance. She has also helped me understand that Yes, sometimes the anxiousness of wanting to be Productive can burn us out!
My fifth favorite Mentor is Marissa Peer. I love this woman’s British accent. Marissa has helped me with something she created called Rapid Transformational Therapy, which is similar to neurolinguistic programming. In other words, what we tell ourselves every day has to be something Positive. We can change the way we talk to ourselves by what telling ourselves that we are worth it, we are enough, we have something to offer, we love what we do. I truly believe that so many people need this, especially negative people who constantly tell themselves that what they are doing isn’t good enough. Oh my gosh, I call these people Perfectionists and they have to have things done in a precise way, which to me is a little bit scary. Marissa is golden when it comes to really motivating and helping us meditate through anxious times. She teaches us how to discipline our daily schedules and our minds to think positively. To really be there for ourselves and to love ourselves when we had not received it growing up. Marissa is truly an Angel and she has a sense or humor to boot.
My sixth favorite mentor, author, encourager is Marie Forleo. The first time I saw Marie Forleo, she did a YouTube Interview with her friend Gabrielle Bernstein on how to believe in Spiritual Guidance and to be able to manifest what it is we would like. We first and foremost have to let the Universe/Cosmos to Guide us even if we may not know what the outcome may look like. A lot of us get trapped in wanting the control and we may give up on ourselves. Marie has a book called, “Everything is Figure-outable”, which I still haven’t read yet. This woman has all sorts of great advice on how we can discipline, encourage ourselves, Set plans and Goals for ourselves and what we can do when we get burned out. I personally have my own solutions for when I get burned out as well.
My seventh favorite mentor and guide is Lisa Bileyu. She has a YouTube channel called ‘Women of Impact’. My favorite Guest she had on was Lori Harder, who is a Life Coach and author who talked about getting over her fears of being judged for what she had to teach. She knew she had it in her to be a Coach and Public Speaker. Lisa has all sorts of women on talking about their struggles and how they have overcome, and learned the Secrets of pushing through to do the work they love an, accomplishing their Goals, learning the mistakes along the way. Ladies, never give up your values EVER!!!! There are so many great therapists, actors, authors, women entrepreneurs on her YouTube.
Last but not least are all my Yoga instructors and Meditation Guides I have followed on YouTube the last year and a half or more: Allie the Journey Junkie, who also has taught me so much about Chakra and Body, Mind, and Soul Balancing through the six layers of our body. She has taught me breath work and Chakra sounds. Also, Yoga with Adrienne has been tremendous. This woman has a huge following on YouTube. Also, Adison Brianna who is excellent with morning Yoga, Side body stretches and Deep Hip stretching. Last, but not least is Sara Raymond from the Mindful Movement. Sara teaches how to release Anxiety, Stress, Calm our minds, Clear Clutter, Breath through our Day, tell ourselves positive things, Scan our bodies for Pain, how to heal our bodies of pain, which truly does work with LOTS of Practice and mindfulness.
All of these ladies and then some that I will talk about another time have been so helpful to me during the Pandemic and even before when I cold and homeless at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020. I truly and totally believe we MUST take care of ourselves! We must lean into resistance, be resilient, Patient with ourselves and with others!!! We must find the energy within ourselves as Rachel Hollis and Mel Robbins often say. Oh, I forgot to write about Mel Robbins, who really helps people with Goals and dealing with Anxiety BIG time! Her YouTube is so worth checking out! All of these women have helped and impacted me in a Big way. I will come back to write about a couple of my Social media friends who have helped as well.
Living the Dream
So, I have another Blog/Chapter about what Living the Dream may have looked like for me, yet I had to add a Part II, so to speak. Recently, I was working in a Place of Business and this gentleman walks in on a couple of occasions and shouts out, “Living the Dream?” in the form of a question. I almost died because it was partly insulting in a way and partly funny in a way. I wanted to ask him what his dream was and how he was really living it, and I also wanted to say, “Dude, don’t insult us!” I’m rolling my eyes. I have had all sorts of dreams and have unfortunately had to Shift. What do I mean by Shift? I mean that I had to take a break because I was burning out or I just did not feel like what I was pursuing was really my ‘niche’. I have a Professional Organizing Business currently and it isn’t succeeding because I have a couple other really passionate competitors. I have had two really awesome young women really try to motivate me and give me their energy and advice to Keep going and how to be noticed. These women were great!
So anyhow, I am shifting again and trying to focus more on my writing. I am not sure how good freelancing will go. I have read things that say it’s a tough way to make money. I don’t have a lot of experience writing professional essays or articles in newspapers and magazines, YET!!! I would have to come up with my Niche and new material constantly. One of my favorite authors, Dr. Sherrie Campbell recently told someone she did an Interview with, that she lives by Life hacks. This woman is brilliant and a Light to me. I would say I am partially jealous of people who come up with ideas and Clarity about how to put their knowledge out into the World and do it with subtlty. I know I can get here, I just have to read more. I am laughing at myself because I have always known this. I just have to give myself more credit and really take the time to express the facts and my voice, not just have the mushy stuff out there.
My next steps are to stick to my writing, and living with discipline to Learn, Research, and grow my knowledge towards my Passions of teaching Yoga and also doing more Graphic design. In all of my Research, I didn’t realize that it really is difficult to get and retain Customers. It’s a constant to stay persistent. To stay true to my Passion. To stay true to my intentions. I believe. YOU CAN TOO! And just another side note, being in motion will hurt and it will feel uncomfortable. I can do it and so can you!
